Yesterday we spent some of our day at the Florida Cavern State Park. The park features a Cave Tour of the largest cave in the area. The cave was developed in the 1930s by the CCC and I can only imagine working in that cave laying on my stomach in near complete darkness. They had to dig out the floor in many places to make it possible to stand up. In some places, you still have to stoop down to under four feet to pass through the passages.

It is always difficult to take pictures in caves and flashes, while useful, really wash out the pictures. I finally gave up and up’d the ISO and shot full open. Not the best results, but the best I could do without a tripod.

The park is really nice. If you ever get the chance, I’d recommend visiting.
