Today we went to the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola Florida. I was really impressed. For a museum, it has a very intimate feeling. There are no ropes keeping you from the aircraft, and you can get up and personal with almost every one. While much smaller than the Air Force Museum or the National Air and Space Museum, I’d recommend the Naval Aviation Museum over those two for most people, especially photographers. Just a wonderful collection of Naval aircraft, and who doesn’t love flying boats? I went with Dad and June and we had a great time. I will say that you should eat either before or after as the restaurant they have is pretty bad. But you don’t go for the food, you go for the planes… and they have planes.
