I had my retirement ceremony at Eglin AFB, on 28 July 2015. I am very thankful for the many people that helped put it together. My original thoughts were to not have any ceremony at all, but Amy convinced me otherwise. She is right in that I’d regret not having a ceremony.

Col Smith was kind enough to officiate the ceremony. After the ceremony we had a bbq, and instead of the hamburgers and hot dogs at the normal bbq, we splurged on steak and chicken.

Overall, it was a fun day and will fill me with many memories. Unfortunately, only my Father and his wife was able to make it out for the ceremony. My sisters, always resourceful, sent me a cardboard cut-out of themselves. That was pretty funny, and a good way for them to participate. Amy got me a wonderful propeller, which she had engraved with each of my duty stations. It is now hanging on the wall in my new home office.
